Air Pollution, it’s not just outdoor, it’s indoor as well. The good news is that air cleaners can improve your indoor air quality by trapping particles as small as .01 microns. In fact, they are more effective than a furnace filter and even easier to maintain.

Schaafsma offers two different air cleaners, an electronic and a media. Electronic air cleaners use a pre-filter coupled with an electric charge and collector plates to rid your home of pollutants. The media air cleaner is composed of interlocking network of porous fibers designed to capture particles. Both units are easy to clean. For the electronic, simply remove the unit’s cells, wash with a mild soap solution, rinse, dry and replace back into the unit. For the media, remove the filter combs which hold the filter frame and dispose of the old filter. Whether electronic or media, the benefits are great; heating and cooling systems operate more efficiently which means lower utility bills, home furnishings are saved and you can breathe easier.
