Installation ProcessBy choosing Schaafsma Heating & Cooling Co., we will make the installation of your comfort equipment as easy and complete as possible for you. Listed below are the steps that we take to help ensure a smooth installation process. # Upon signature and acceptance of the quoted sales agreement, you will receive ** A copy of the signed sales agreement ** A copy of the 100% Satisfaction Guarantee form # We will need to either have a down payment of 50% or a completed credit application # The installer(s) will arrive between 7:30am and 8:30am on the date listed on the quote. The time may vary depending on length of time loading equipment, installer meeting or driving conditions. If this time is not convenient, please feel free to arrange for a different time with your sales consultant. Some installations may take more than one day to complete depending on complexity and amount of equipment. # Upon completion of the installation, the installers will clean up their work area and inform the sales consultant and the service department that the installation is ready for a quality inspection. The installers will make every attempt to maintain a clean working area, however some installations may require the cutting of drywall or wood which causes dust. Some dust will naturally migrate from the work area, please take appropriate steps regarding your home. The installers will not be responsible for moving items in the work area. We encourage you to take appropriate precautions to protect your items. # The service department will call you to arrange the time for your quality inspection. The inspector will supply you with your owner's manual, start up report, inspection report and invoice. The inspector will show you the proper operation and maintenance of your new equipment. Upon your acceptance of the installation, the inspector will collect a check for the balance or signature on the credit sales slip for approved credit applicants. # If the installation does not pass inspection and the correction is more than can be done at that time, the inspector will have you sign the report verifying the necessary corrections and he will attempt to schedule the repair at that time. If he can not schedule a time, the installation manager (Eric Pannill) will contact you to schedule a time. We would ask that you pay the balance of your invoice at this time. However, we do understand that due to some dishonest people in this industry you may be reluctant to pay in full. Since any repairs at this point are usually minor, you may withhold 10% of the total quoted price until the repairs are completed. *Please Note:* The quality inspection is performed by a person from Schaafsma Heating & Cooling Co. We will file a permit as required with the local municipality for each installation. You will be contacted by the city or township office to inspect the installation. Depending on the area, they may take several months to contact you. If their inspector requires any corrections, we will contact you to schedule a day and time. Any corrections will be at no charge to you unless previously noted on the quoted sales agreement. |
